A lifetime connection to this coast
Tony's connection with this area goes back almost his whole life. As a child, his mother taught him to swim in the warm indoor pool at Butlin's in Clacton. He still has old cine film of himself kicking a rugby ball with his father on the green at Frinton, and later brought his own family back to enjoy many of the same places.
Service to the community
As a police officer and later a sergeant based in Clacton, Tony served communities across the constituency and experienced both the responsibility and the personal cost of public service.
Faith expressed through action
For many years Tony has been involved in churches and community outreach, supporting people facing hardship, addiction and isolation.
Why I am standing
